Support Ticket CSAT Digest

When your helpdesk closes a ticket, this automation emails the customer a 10-second CSAT survey. Every response is logged automatically, and once a week you get a digest with the average score and a list of any low-rated tickets worth a follow-up — without anyone having to check a spreadsheet.

Automation flow

How it works

  1. 1When your helpdesk tool closes a ticket, it notifies n8n via webhook, which emails the customer a short survey link.
  2. 2When the customer submits the survey, their response is logged to your sheet immediately.
  3. 3Every Monday at 9am, n8n reads the last 7 days of responses, calculates the average score, and lists any tickets scored 2 or below.
  4. 4If there were any responses that week, you get a digest by email and Slack. No responses, no message.

What you'll need

  • An n8n Cloud or self-hosted account
  • Your helpdesk tool's "ticket closed" webhook (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Help Scout, Front, or similar — most support tools can POST to a webhook URL when a ticket is closed)
  • Google Forms + Sheets
  • Gmail and Slack

What's included

  • Survey sent automatically, no manual follow-up needed
  • Works with any helpdesk that supports outgoing webhooks
  • Low scores surfaced proactively, not buried in a sheet
  • Silent when there's nothing new to report
